KIDS' SONGS
I have written many songs for children. Three of my originals are included on my CD, I Like Feeling Good About Me. I am currently in the process of writing material for a new CD which will feature all of my own songs. A lot of my ideas come from interaction with kids and parents at my performances. I observe what things are important in children's lives, what issues are of concern to them, and what makes them laugh. Since I have raised a daughter of my own, I also have my own deep well of resources from which to draw. Ever mindful of children's joy in musical participation, I often make that a focus when creating new material. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
I have created two musical programs for schools to date: a self-esteem program called Important Messages through Song and Halloween Brew - both geared to grades K to Grade 3. I have performed them in schools throughout Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire. Important Messages through Song deals with expressing one's feelings, feeling good about oneself, refraining from the practice of name calling, and showing kindness to both people and animals. Halloween Brew includes fun, participatory Halloween songs, humor, and historical tidbits about the Celtic origins of the holiday. Presently I am writing a program of songs about the Pilgrims' voyage to America on The Mayflower and their first year of survival in early Plimoth, Massachusetts. The songs highlight events that occurred on the voyage, and cover the Pilgrims' culture within the village of Plimoth including their interaction with the Wampanoags, and the first Thanksgiving feast. I am always eager to be commissioned by schools and other institutions to create new programs that educate through the use of song. top of page

CUSTOM SONGS
Custom songs are a specialty of mine. Over the years I have taken great delight in providing personalized material for all kinds of occasions - for children's and adults' birthdays as well as weddings and anniversaries - also, for guests of honor at corporate events and retirement parties. Whatever the client’s agenda…funny, serious or sentimental…I will work with as much or as little input as he or she would like to provide. MUSICAL ADS
In addition to writing custom songs, I offer the service of creating musical ads and jingles for businesses and political candidates. I guarantee my clients a catchy, memorable tune with just the right message. The client is welcome to offer as much or as little input in the creative process as he or she chooses.
